Where the data comes from

Every figure on this site is Valve's, by way of one community API. Nothing is estimated, and a value nobody publishes shows as a dash.

Heroes, abilities and items

Hero lore, roles, base stats, weapon numbers, ability text and cooldowns, and every shop item's cost and effects come from Valve's game files as served by deadlock-api.com. The hero, ability, item and rank images are the game's own textures from the same source. They were last collected on 22 October 2026.

Heroes Valve still marks as in development are not listed until they are released. Street Brawl's items are left out of the shop: they are not bought in a normal match.

Win rates, matchups and popular items

Hero and item win rates, pick rates, matchups and pairings are aggregates of the last 30 days of matches, collected by deadlock-api.com from Valve's match data and copied here on the same date. The meta report fetches a single rank bracket fresh when you choose one.

A matchup or pairing with too few games says little, so pairs under the threshold shown on each hero page are left out. Popular items are Valve's own per-hero purchase figures, dated on the page.

Players and leaderboards

The player tracker and leaderboards ask deadlock-api.com directly from your browser each time. Only public match data appears, and rank is the badge the game showed after each ranked match, not an estimate of hidden rating.

Patch notes

The updates pages carry Valve's own Deadlock announcements from Steam, in full.

What is not here

This site began as a standalone app, Deadlock Nexus. Some of its tools ran on numbers it had chosen rather than ones Valve publishes, and were left out rather than shown as fact: a damage calculator built on approximate hero and item values, a soul-economy model with assumed wave and orb rates, a synergy matrix scored by hand-written rules, letter tiers drawn from fixed win-rate cut-offs, and a city map with illustrative markers. A tool comes back when the data behind it can be sourced.
